Florida rapper accused of hiding assets during divorce

Vanilla Ice is back in the headlines, but it's not because of a record deal. The Florida rapper, who was popular in the 1990s, is being accused of hiding assets from his former wife during their divorce. She claims that he put marital funds into business accounts without consulting her.

The divorce was initiated back in 2016 by the now ex-wife. During that time, she sought both spousal and child support for the couple's two children. She also requested the use of the family home. The couple had previously been married for 20 years, and the divorce is still pending.

Recently, the ex-wife has claimed that her ex-husband put marital money into his business during the marriage and that he did not fully disclose assets during the divorce. She says that she believed that the money was being put into a trust for her, but the funds went to his business instead. She further claimed that he moved shared assets into his name only.

Now, the ex-lovers are back in Florida court, and she has filed an injunction to prevent Vanilla Ice from selling or transferring any assets until their divorce is over. She also says that he failed to reveal full financial information. Not much has been heard from the rapper about his version of events. The case is an interesting example of how property division can become contentious. Many people, when faced with the division of assets during divorce, choose to consult an experienced family law attorney for more guidance.
